2 Myrtle Beach History 1905 to 2005Go Full Screen and use PAUSE button for best viewing. Turn on annotations for more info.
This is my complilation of postcards and photographs of Myrtle Beach South Carolina history timeline. Starting in 1905 with the first railroad to New Town ( Myrtle Beach ) from Conway. Myrtle Beach became an official town in 1938, and a city in 1957.
I’ve tried to put them in order the best I could. Check out my Youtube channel for my video Mom and Pop Inns along the Grand Strand for more historic info. The new boardwalk is open !!!

Smoke on the Beach – Cherry Grove Section of North Myrtle Beach after Wildfire South of Here

2 Smoke on the Beach Cherry Grove Section of North Myrtle Beach after Wildfire South of HereWhat the Cherry Grove Beach section of North Myrtle Beach, SC looks like on Thursday morning, April 23, 2009 after yesterday’s wildfire in Myrtle Beach yesterday. Amazing how far smoke and ash can travel. Even up here the air is pretty thick. It’s difficult to see from the video, but we can’t see a half mile up or down the beach. There just aren’t enough words to express appreciation for firefighters…

Has anyone stayed at the Myrtle Beach Resort?

How is the parking? Are the pools clean?
The myrtle beach resort itself.
How is the parking? Pools clean?

Which one? All hotels are inspected monthly. The pools are checked daily. Parking can be at a premium unless you’re a registered guest.

what are some Teen attractions in North myrtle Beach Sc?

all the people going are 18 what are some fun things to do in North Myrtle Beach or the surounding areas?

As for entertainment, restaurants, and things like that, some great attractions are Nascar SpeedPark, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Planet Hollywood, Ripley’s Aquarium, Ripley’s 4-D Adventure, Atlantis Putt-Putt golfing, The Dixie Stampede, and Deep Sea Fishing with the Hurricane Fleet, to name a few. Truly, these are fun whether you are 4 or 40. You can also go to club Kryptonite (if your old enough) Some Awesome places to eat are Benjamin’s's Original Calabash Seafood, The Filling Station (Pizza), and T-Bones (at Barefoot Landing). Umm you can go to Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach (I go to Barefoot landing in the day normally, but if you go at night they have a cool little carnival-like thing)…but don’t waste your time going to the mall, it sucks.

Hope i helped and have a great trip =)

Where is the best resort in Myrtle Beach?

Im looking for a really nice hotel/resort in Myrtle Beach. We need somewhere with a golf course and tennis court and very close to the beach. Maybe a swim up bar?

I don’t think swim up bars are allowed in Myrtle Beach as are outdoor kiosks by the pools. Anyway, I’ve heard the Sea Mist is a large resort type place but, I’ve never stayed there. We usually stay at the Patricia Grand hotel, right on the beach. Both places do offer golf packages but, don’t have a course on the grounds. I’m not aware of any resorts that have their own courses but, if they are there it would be up in the stratosphere price wise.

After some searching I did find a few, check here http://www.findagolfresort.com/resorts/north_america/united_states/south_carolina/myrtle_beach.asp

Also Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort looks nice. It’s a bit south of Myrtle Beach near Pawleys Island.
